THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM / DIE GELOOF VAN ABRAHAM.

WORD OF THE DAY:

[Luke 3:8]

"Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves: 'We have Abraham as our father.' "For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham."

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM;

[Hebrews 11:17-19]

17. By FAITH Abraham, when God tested him, (when the testing of his faith was still in progress) had already brought Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had gladly received and welcomed (God's) promises, was ready to sacrifice his one and only son -

18. Even though God had said to him: "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be  reckoned."

19. For he reasoned that God was able

to raise (him, Isaac) up even from among the dead.

"Dra dan vrugte wat by die bekering pas, en moenie by julleself begin sê: 'Ons het Abraham as vader nie'; "want Ek sê vir julle dat God mag het om uit hierdie klippe kinders vir Abraham te verwek."

17. Deur die geloof het Abraham, toe hy deur God op die proef gestel is, Isak geoffer; ja, hy wat die beloftes ontvang het, was gereed om sy eniggeborene te offer. 

18. Aan wie gesê is: "In Isak sal jou nageslag genoem word - want hy het gemeen dat God mag het om (Isak) selfs uit die dode op te wek. 

19. Daarom het hy hom ook, om so te spreek, terug ontvang.
