THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE RICH AND THE POOR. / DIE VERSKIL TUSSEN RYK EN ARM.

Monday 5 January 2015.
WORD OF THE DAY:
[2 Corinthians 4:17,18]
17. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
18. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE RICH AND THE POOR:
One day the father of avery wealthy family, took his son for a trip to the country, with the express purpose to show him how poor people live.
They spent a few days and nights on the farm of what would be consiered a very poor family.
On their teturn from the trip, the father asked the son: "How was the trip?"
The son answered: "It was a good trip dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" The father prompted. "And what did you learn?"
The son answered: "I saw that we have only one dog, but they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden, but they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden, but they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard, but they have the whole horizon.
"We have a small piece of land to live on, they have fields that stretches out beyond our sight.
"We have servants to serve us, but they serve others. We have walls around our property to protect us, but they have God and their faithful friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added: "Thanks dad, for showing me how poor we really are."
Isn't perspective a wonderful concept? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we do not have.
Appreciate everything you have, especially your friends. Life is too short and friends are too few - with all love and respect. May the love and peace of God surround you always.

WOORD VAN DIE DAG:
[2 Korinthiërs 4:17,18]
17. Want ons ligte verdrukkking wat vir 'n oomblik is, bewerk vir ons 'n allesoortreffende ewige gewig van heerlikheid;

Die seun se pa was woordeloos.
