WORD FOR THE DAY: 1 August 2013

CONFESS CHRIST BEFORE MAN: [NKJ]
(Matthew 10:32-33)
32. Therefore, whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father Who is in heaven.
33. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father Who is in heaven.
SHORT PRAYER: Dear Lord God Almighty, thank you that You sent Your Son so that through Him we may have eternal life. Help us to never be ashamed of our love for Him, and to acknowledge Him before people, as our Saviour and our Redeemer. Amen.

WORD OF THE DAY: (31 July 2013)

[John 1:10-14] NKJ
JESUS, THE SON OF GOD:
10. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
11. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
12. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His Name.
SHORT PRAYER: Thank You Father God that You sent Your Son Jesus Christ into the world to dwell among us. Thank You that through Him that we are also now Your children. We believe that Lord, in the Name of Jesus. We read in Romans 8:16-17 that the Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are now children of God, and if we are children, we are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ - then we will also be glorified with Him. That is wonderful and awesome Lord God and we thank you and praise You for that. Amen and Amen.

1. (Habakkuk 3:17-19) NIV
17. Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls -
18. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Saviour.
19. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights.

2. (Hábakuk 3:17-19) Ou Afrikaanse
Vertaling.
18. Nogtans sal ek jubel in die Here, ek sal juig in die God van my heil.
19. Die Here, Here is my sterkte, en Hy maak my voete soos dié van herte, en Hy laat my tree op my hoogtes.

15. Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out.
16. The Lord is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from His land.

[1 John 5:14-15]
14. And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: (we are sure) that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.
15. And if (since) we (positively) know He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know (with settled and absolute knowledge) that we have the requests made of Him.

WORD AND PRAYER FOR TODAY SUNDAY 14 July '13

(Ecclesiastes 2:25).  [NIV]
To the man who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth: to hand it over to the one who pleases God.
PRAYER:  Dear Father God, in the Name of Jesus Christ, You Son, we want to thank You today for everything You do for us, in us and through us. We read yesterday in John 14:13-14 what Jesus told His disciples, namely that if we ask the Father anything in His Name, the Father will give to us.
Thank you for Jesus Father God, that's why we know that we can come boldly to your Throne of Grace. I want to pour out my heart before You today Father, and confess my sins, my faults and also acknowledge my wrongdoings.
Your Word says in Hebrews 8:12; 1 John 1:7,9 that if we confess our sins, the blood of Jesus Your Son cleanses us from all sin and guilt and (and keeps us cleansed from sin in all it's forms and manifestation). Thank You Lord my God, I want to thank you today for Jesus Who bore our sins in His own body. I want to give You all praise and honour and glory. I worship You Father God. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

WORD OF THE DAY

WORD OF THE DAY:
(Psalm 84:10-11).  10. For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wicketness.

QWOORD VAN VANDAG; VADER GOD SE ALLESOORHEERSENDE  KRAG EN GESAG:
52. "Maghebbers het Hy van trone afgeruk en nederiges verhoog.
53. Hongeriges het Hy met goeie dinge vervul en rykes met leë hande weggestuur."  (Lukas 1:52-53)

PRAYER FOR ALL

Faith leads to victory, fear leads to defeat. We must not be moved by what we see, but by what the Word of God says. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. (Psalm 119:105)  PRAYER:  Lord, be gracious unto us, according to Your loving-kindness, according to Your compassion.
Block out our transgressions and cleanse us of our iniquities.
Please Father God, let it be remembered no more - for we sin every day - we sin against You, and You alone.
We ask all this Lord in the mighty Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer. Your Word says if we call upon the Name of the Lord, we will be saved. (Joel 2:32a; Romans 10:9-13)
Lord Jesus, please come into our hearts, forgive our sins and write our names in the Lamb's book of life. Amen.
