WORD OF THE DAY: 

[Psalm 99:9]

Extol the Lord our God and worship at His holy hill, for the Lord our God is holy!

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 100.

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version)

[Psalm 100:1-5]

1. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands!

2. Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing!

3. Know, (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who Has made us, not we ourselves (and we are His)! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 

4. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering, and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His Name!

5. For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.

[Psalm 100:1-5]

1. Juig voor die Here, o ganse aarde!

2. Dien die Here met blydskap; kom voor Sy aangesig met gejubel. 

3. Erken dat die Here God is: Hy het ons gemaak en ons is Syne, Sy volk en die skape van Sy weide. 

4. Gaan Sy poorte in met lof, Sy voorhowe met lofgesang; loof Hom, prys Sy Naam. 

5. Want die Here is goed; Sy goedertierenheid is tot in ewigheid, en Sy trou van geslag tot geslag.

[Psalm 103:2,5]

2. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not (one of) all His benefits -

5. Who satisfied your mouth (your necessity and desire, at your own personal age and situation) with good, so that youth, renewed, is like the eagle's (strong, overcoming, soaring)!

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 97, Second section ...

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version)

[Psalm 97:7-12]

7. Let all those be put to shame who serve graven images, who boast in idols. Fall prostrate before Him, all you gods. 

8. Zion heard and was glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoiced (in relief) because of Your judgements, O Lord. 

9. For You Lord, are high above the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. 

10. O you who love the Lord, hate evil; He preserves the lives of His saints (the children of God), He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. 

11. Light is sown for the (uncompromisingly) righteous, and strewn along their pathway, and joy for the upright in heart (the irrepressible joy which comes from consciousness of His favour and protection).

12. Rejoice in the Lord, you (consistently) righteous (upright and in right standing with God), and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

7. Beskaamd staan almal wat die beelde dien, wat hulle op afgode beroem; al die gode buig hulle voor Hom neer. 

8. Sion hoor dit en is bly, en die dogters van Juda juig oor U oordele, O Here! 

9. Want U Here, is die Allerhoogste oor die hele aarde; U is hoog verhewe bo al die gode. 

10. O liefhebbers van die Here, haat die kwaad! Hy bewaar die siele van Sy gunsgenote, Hy red hulle uit die hand van die goddelose. 

11. Die lig is vir die regverdige gesaai, en vrolikheid vir die opregtes van hart. 

12. O regverdiges, wees bly in die Here, en loof Sy heilige gedenknaam!

[Psalm 56:3,4]

3. What time I am afraid, I will have confidence in, and put my trust and reliance in You.  

4. By (the help of) God I will praise His Word; on God I lean, rely, and confidently put my trust; I will not fear. What can man, (who is flesh), do to me?

PSALM 97.

[Psalm 97:1-6]

1. The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles and coastlands be glad! 

2. Clouds and darkness are round about Him  (as at Sinai); righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. 

3. Fire goes before Him and burns up His adversaries round about. 

4. His lightnings illumine the world; the earth sees and trembles. 

5. The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, of the whole earth. 

6. The heavens declare His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory.

[Psalm 113:3,4]

3. From the rising of the sun to the going down of it, and from east to west, the Name of the Lord is to be praised. 

4. The Lord is high above all nations, and His glory above the heavens.

PSALM 96, Second section...

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version)

[Psalm 96:8-13]

8. Give to the Lord the glory due to His Name; bring an offering and come (before Him) into His courts. 

9. O, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before and reverently fear Him, all the earth.  

10. Say among the nations that the Lord reigns; the earth also is established, so it cannot be moved; He shall judge and rule the people righteously and with justice.  

11. Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all the things which fill it;

12. Let the field be exultant, and all that is in it! Then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy -

13. Before the Lord, for He comes, for He comes to judge and govern the earth! He shall judge the world with righteousness and justice and the peoples with His faithfulness and truth.

[Psalm 95:6,7]

6. Come! Let us bow down and worship! Let's kneel before the Lord, our Creator!

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 96.

1. English - (New English Translation)

[Psalm 96:1-7]

1. O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!

2. Sing to the Lord, bless (affectionately praise) His Name; show forth His salvation from day to day. 

3. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples. 

4. For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be reverently feared and worshiped above all (so-called) gods. 

5. For all the gods of the nations are (lifeless) idols, but the Lord made the heavens. 

6. Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. 

7. Ascribe to the Lord, O you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

PSALM 94.

Wednesday 1 July 2015. 

WORD OF THE DAY:

[Psalm 95:1]

O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation!

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

[Psalm 94:17-23]

17. Unless the Lord had been my help, I would soon have dwelt in (the land where there is) silence. 

18. When I said: "My foot is slipping," Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, held me up.  

19. In the multitude of my (anxious) thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul!

20. Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with You - they who frame and hide their unrighteous doings under (the sacred name of) law?

21. They band themselves together against the life of the (consistently) righteous and condemn the innocent to death.  

22. But the Lord Has become my High Tower and Defense, and my God the Rock of my refuge. 

23. And He will turn back upon them their own iniquity and will wipe them out by means of their own wickedness; the Lord our God will wipe them out.

[Psalm 95:1]

Kom, laat ons jubel tot eer van die Here, laat ons juig ter ere van die rots van ons heil!

BOODSKAP VAN DIE DAG:

[Psalm 94:17-23]

17. As die Here vir my nie 'n hulp was nie, dan het my siel gou in die stilte gewoon. 

18. As ek dink: "My voet wankel." - dan ondersteun U goedertierenheid my, O Here!

19. As my gedagtes binne-in my vermenigvuldig, dan verkwik U vertroostinge my siel. 

20. Het die regterstoel wat onheil stig, met U gemeenskap; wat moeite versin teen die insettinge in?

21. Hulle bestorm die lewe van die reverdige en veroordeel onskuldige bloed. 

22. Maar die Here is 'n Rotsvesting vir my, en my God die rots van my toevlug.  

23. En Hy laat hulle onregverdigheid op hulle terugkeer, en verdelg hulle in hulle boosheid; die Here onse God verdelg hulle.

WORD OF THE DAY:

[Psalm 119:81]

My soul languishes and grows faint for Your salvation, but I hope in Your Word. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 92, second section...

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version.)

[Psalm 92:10-15]

10. But my horn (emblem of excessive strength and stately grace) You have exalted like that of a wild ox; I am anointed with fresh oil. 

11. My eye looks upon those who lie in wait for me; my ears hear the evildoers that rise up against me. 

12. The (uncompromisingly) righteous shall flourish like the palm tree (be long-lived, stately, upright, usefull and fruitful); they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon (majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible).

13. Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of Our God. 

14. (Growing in grace) they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap (of spiritual vitality) and (rich in the) verdure 

(of trust, love, and contentment.)

15. (They are living memorials) to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

[Psalm 92:11-16]

11. Maar U verhoog my horing (van krag, sterkte en koningskap), soos van 'n buffel; ek is met vars olie gesalf.  

12. En my oog sien met welgevalle neer op die wat my voorlê; my ore hoor van die wat teen my as kwaaddoeners opstaan.  

13. Die regverdige sal groei soos 'n palmboom; hy sal opgroei soos 'n seder op die Libanon. 

14. Geplant in die huis van die Here, sal hulle groei in die voorhowe van onse God.  

15. In die gryse ouderdom sal hulle nog vrugte dra, hulle sal vet en groen wees. 

16. Om te verkondig dat die Here reg is, my Rots, en in Hom is geen onreg nie.
