WORD OF THE DAY:

(Matthew 4:10)

Jesus said to him: "Away from Me, satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only."

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

THE ESCAPE TO EGYPT:

(Matthew 2:14-18)

14. So he got up, took the Child and His mother during the night, and went to Egypt. 

15. Where he stayed until the death of Herod. In this way what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet was fulfillled: "I called My Son out of Egypt."

16. When Herod realised that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious. He sent men to kill all the children in Bethlehem and throughout the surrounding region from the age of two and under, according to the time he had learned from the the wise men. 

17. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: 

18. " A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning. Rachel weeping for her children, and she did not want to be comforted because they were gone.

Toe sê Jesus vir hom: "Gaan weg, satan! Die Here jou God moet jy aanbid en Hom alleen dien.

(Matthew 2:14-18)

14. Hy het toe opgestaan, die Kindjie en Sy moeder in die nag geneem, en na Egipte vertrek. 

15. En hy was daar tot die dood van Herodus, sodat die woord vervul sou word wat die Here gespreek het deur die profeet: "Uit Egipte het Ek My Seun geroep."

16. Toe Herodus sien dat hy deur die wyse manne mislei was, het hy baie woedend geword en gestuur en in Betlehem en in al die omstreke daarvan, al die seuntjies van twee jaar en onder laat ombring, ooreenkomstig die tyd wat hy van die wyse manne uitgevra het. 

17. Toe is vervul wat deur Jeremia die profeet gespreek is toe hy gesê het;

18. "'n Stem is in Rama gehoor: rouklag en geween, en 'n groot gekerm; Ragel beween haar kinders en wil nie vertroos word nie, omdat hulle nie meer daar is nie. 

(God willing and by His marvellous grace and mercy, I will share the Word with you, as often as I possibly can. / 

As dit die wil van God is en deur Sy wonderbare genade en barmhartigheid, sal ek die Woord met u deel so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan.)
