Your Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 86.

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version.)

[Psalm 86:1-10]

A prayer of David. 

1. Incline Your ear O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and distressed, needy and desiring. 

2. Preserve my life, for I am godly and dedicated; O my God, save Your servant, for I trust in You (leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, without fear or doubt.)

3. Be merciful and gracious to me, O Lord, for to You do I cry all the day. 

4. Make me Your servant, to rejoice, O Lord, for to You do I lift myself up. 

5. For You O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive (our trespasses, sending them away, letting them go completely and forever); and You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You. 

6. Give ear O Lord, to my prayer; and listen to the cry of my supplications. 

7. In the day of my trouble, I will call on You, for You will answer me. 

8. There is none like unto You among the gods, O Lord, neither are their works like unto Yours. 

9. All nations whom You have made shall come and fall down before You, O Lord; and they shall glorify Your Name. 

10. For You are great and work wonders! You alone are God.

1. 'n Gebed van Dawid. Here, neig U oor, verhoor my, want ek is ellendig en behoeftig. 

2. Bewaar my siel, want 'n gunsgenoot is ek; U my God, verlos U kneg wat op U vertrou. 

3. Wees my genadig, O Here, want ek roep U aan die hele dag deur. 

4. Verbly die siel van U kneg, want tot U, O Here, hef ek my siel op. 

5. Want U, O Here, is goed en vergewensgesind, en groot van goedertierenheid vir almal wat U aanroep. 

6. Here, luister na my gebed, en let op die stem van my smekinge. 

7. In die dag van my benoudheid roep ek U aan, want U verhoor my.

WORD OF THE DAY:

[Psalm 35:1]

A Psalm of David. 

Plead my cause, O Lord, with those who strive with me, fight against those who fight against me. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 85.

1. English - (New English Translation)

[Psalm 85:6-13]

6. Will you not revive us once more? Then Your people will rejoice in You!

7. O Lord, show us Your loyal love! Bestow on us Your deliverance!

8. I will listen to what God the Lord says. For He will make peace with His people, His faithful followers. Yet they must not return to their foolish ways. 

9. Certainly His loyal followers will soon experience His deliverance; then His splendour will again appear in our land. 

10. Loyal love and faithfulness meet; deliverance and peace greet each other with a kiss. 

11. Faithfulness grows from the ground, and deliverance looks down from the sky. 

12. Yes, the Lord will bestow His good 

blessings, and our land wil yield its crops. 

13. Deliverance goes before Him, and prepares a pathway for Him.

7. Sal Ú ons nie weer lewend maak, sodat U volk in U bly kan wees nie?

8. Laat ons U goedertierenheid sien, O Here, en gee ons U heil!

9. Ek wil hoor dat God die Here spreek. Ja, Hy spreek vrede vir Sy volk en vir Sy gunsgenote; maar laat hulle nie tot dwaasheid terugkeer nie!

10. Gewis, Sy heil is naby die wat Hom vrees, sodat heerlikheid in ons land kan woon. 

11. Goedertierenheid en trou ontmoet mekaar; geregtigheid en vrede kus mekaar. 

12.  Trou spruit uit die aarde en geregtigheid kyk uit die hemel neer.

PSALM 84.

10. Better is one day in Your courts  than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than dwell in tents of the wicked.  

11. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favour and honour; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. 

12. O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in You!

WORD OF THE DAY:

[Psalm 72:13,14]

13. He will spare the poor and needy, and will save the souls of the needy.  

14. He will redeem their life from oppression and violence; and precious shall be their blood in His sight. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 73.

1. English - (New English Translation.)

23. But I am continually with You; You hold my right hand.  

24. You guide me with Your wise advice and then You will lead me to a position of honour. 

25. Whom do I have in heaven but You? I desire no One but You on earth. 

26. My flesh and my heart may grow weak, but God always protects my heart and gives me stability. 

27. Yes, look! Those far from You die; You destroy everyone who is unfaithful to You. 

28. But as for me, God's presence is all I need. I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, as I declare all the things You Have done.

11. Your Word I have laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against You. 

12. Blessed are You, O Lord; teach me Your statutes. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 71, second section ...

[Psalm 71:13-24]

13. Let them be put to shame and consumed who are adversaries to my life; let them be covered with reproach, scorn and dishonour who seek and require my hurt. 

14. But I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more.  

15. My mouth shall tell of Your righteous acts, and of Your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is more than I know. 

16. I will come in the strength and with the mighty acts of the Lord God; I will mention and praise Your righteousness, even Yours alone. 

17. O God, You have taught me from my youth, and hitherto have I declared Your wondrous works. 

18. Yes, even when I am old and gray-headed, O God, forsake me not, (but keep me alive) until I have declared Your Mighty strength to [this] generation, and Your Might and Power to all that are to come. 

19. Your righteousness also O God, is very high, (reaching to the heavens), You Who have done great things; O God, who is like You, or who is Your equal?

20. You Who have shown us (all) troubles great and sore will quicken us again and will bring us up again from the depths of the earth.

PSALM 71, tweede gedeelte ...

[Psalm 71:13-24]

13. Laat hulle wat my as vyand behandel, beskaamd staan, verteer word; laat hulle wat my ongeluk soek, hulleself toedraai in smaad en skande. 

14. Maar ék sal altyddeur hoop en al U lof vermeerder. 

15. My mond sal U geregtigheid vertel, die hele dag U heil; want ek ken nie die maat daarvan nie. 

16. Ek sal kom met die magtige dade van die Here Here; ek sal U geregtigheid vermeld, dié van U alleen. 

17. O God, U het my geleer van my jeug af, en tot nou toe, verkondig ek U wonders. 

18. En ook tot die ouderdom en die grysheid toe - O God, verlaat my nie, totdat ek aan die volgende geslag U arm verkondig, aan almal wat sal kom, U mag. 

19. Ook is U geregtigheid, O God, tot in die hoogte; U wat groot dinge gedoen het, O God, wie is soos U?

WORD OF THE DAY:

[Psalm 71: 8,9]

8. My mouth shall be filled with Your praise, and with Your honour all the day. 

9. Cast me not off, nor send me away in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent and my powers fail. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 71.

[Psalm 71:1-12]

1. In You, O Lord, do I put my trust and confidently take refuge; let me never be put to shame or confusion!

2. Deliver me in Your righteousness and cause me to escape; bow down Your ear to me and save me!

3. Be to me a Rock of Refuge in which to dwell, and a Sheltering Stronghold to which I may continually resort, which You have appointed to save me, for You are my Rock  and my Fortress. 

4. Rescue me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the grasp of unrighteous and ruthless man. 

5. For You are my hope; O Lord God, You are my Trust from my youth and the source of my confidence. 

6. Upon You have I leaned and relied from birth; You are He Who took me from my mother's womb and You have been my benefactor from that day. My praise is continually of You.

[Psalm 68:20]

God is to us a God of deliverances and salvation; and to God the Lord, belongs escape from death [setting us free]. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 67.

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version)

[Psalm 67:1-7]

1. God be merciful and gracious to us, and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, and among us - Selah [pause, and calmly think of that!]

2. That Your way may be known upon earth, Your saving power [Your deliverances and Your salvation] among all nations. 

3. Let the peoples praise You [turn away from their idols] and give thanks to You, O God; let all the peoples praise and give thanks to You. 

4. O, let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for You will judge the peoples fairly and guide, lead, or drive the nations upon earth. Selah. [pause, and calmly think of that]!

6. The earth has yielded its harvest [in evidence of God's approval]; God, even our own God, will bless us.
