JESUS IS RISEN! / JESUS HET OPGESTAAN!

WORD OF THE DAY:

(Deuteronomy 8:18)

But you shall (earnestly) remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. 

 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

JESUS IS RISEN!

(Matthew 28:1-15)

1. Now after the Sabbath, near dawn of the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala and the other Mary went to take a look at the tomb. 

2. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled the boulder back and sat on it. 

3. His appearance was like lightning, and his garments as white as snow. 

4. And those keeping guard were so frightened at the sight of him that they were agitated and they trembled and became like dead men. 

5. But the angel said to the woman: "Do not be alarmed and frightened, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, Who was crucified. 

6. "He is not here; He Has risen, as He said (He would do). Come, see the place where He lay. 

7. "Then go quickly, and tell His disciples, He Has risen from the dead, and behold, He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."

8. So they left the tomb hastily with fear and great joy, and ran to tell the disciples. 

9. And as they went, behold, Jesus met them and said, Hail (greetings)! And they went up to Him and clasped His feet and worshiped Him. 

10. Then He said to them: "Do not be alarmed and afraid; go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."

11. While they were on their way, behold, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had occurred.  

12. And when they (the chief priests) had gathered with the elders and had consulted together, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers, 

13. And said: "Tell people: 'His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we were sleeping.'

14. "And if the governor hears of it, we will appease him and make you safe and free from trouble and care."

15. So they took the money, and did as they were instructed; and this story has been current among the Jews to the present day.

WOORD VAN DIE DAG:

Maar dink aan die Here jou God, dat dit Hy is wat jou krag gee om rykdom te verwerwe, dat Hy Sy verbond kan bevestig wat Hy aan jou vaders met 'n eed beloof het, soos dit vandag is. 

BOODSKAP VAN DIE DAG:

JESUS HET OPGESTAAN!

(Matthéüs 28:1-15)

1. En laat ná die Sabbat toe dit begin lig word, teen die eerste dag van die week, kom Maria Magdaléna en die ander Maria om na die graf te gaan kyk. 

2. En daar kom 'n groot aardbewing want 'n engel van die Here het uit die hemel neergedaal en gekom en die steen van die opening weggerol en daarop gaan sit. 

3. En sy gedaante was soos weerlig en sy kleding wit soos sneeu. 

4. En uit vrees vir hom het die wagte gebewe en soos dooies geword. 

5. Maar die engel antwoord en sê vir die vroue: "Moenie vrees nie, want ek weet julle soek Jesus wat gekruisig is. 

6. "Hy is nie hier nie, want Hy het opgestaan soos Hy gesê het. Kom kyk na die plek waar die Here gelê het;

7. "En gaan haastig, sê vir Sy dissipels: "Hy het opgestaan uit die dode en gaan voor julle uit na Galiléa. Daar sal julle Hom sien. Kyk, ek het julle dit gesê." 

8. En hulle het haastig weggegaan van die graf, met vrees en groot blydskap, en gehardloop om dit aan Sy dissipels te vertel. 

9. En terwyl hulle op weg was om dit aan Sy dissipels te vertel, kom Jesus hulle meteens teë en sê: "Wees gegroet!" Toe kom hulle nader en gryp Sy voete en aanbid Hom.  

10. En Jesus sê vir hulle: "Moenie vrees nie. Gaan heen en vertel My broeders dat hulle na Galiléa moet gaan; en daar sal hulle My sien."

11. En terwyl hulle op weg was, kom daar sommige van die wag in die stad, en vertel die owerpriesters alles wat gebeur het.  

12. En nadat hulle saam met die ouderlinge vergader en raad gehou het, het hulle die soldate baie geld gegee. 

13. En gesê: "Julle moet sê: 'Sy dissipels het in die nag gekom en Hom gesteel, terwyl ons aan die slaap was.'

14. "En as dit by die goewerneur gehoor word, sal ons hom tevrede stel en maak dat julle sonder sorg is."

15. Hulle het toe die geld geneem, en gedoen soos hulle geleer was. En hierdie verhaal is versprei onder die Jode, tot vandag toe.  

(God willing and by His marvellous grace and mercy I will share the Word with you, as often as I possibly can.

As dit die wil van God is en deur Sy wonderbare genade en barmhartigheid, sal ek die Woord met u deel so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan.)
