Sunday 20 September 2015.
WORD OF THE DAY:
(Psalm 143:8)
May I hear about Your loyal love in the morning, for I trust in You. Show me the way I should go, because I long for You.

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
PSALM 144, Section section ...
English - (Amplified Bible Version).
(Psalm 144:10-15)
10. The One Who delivers kings, and rescued David, His servant, from a deadly sword.
11. Grab me and rescue me from the power of foreigners, who speak lies, and make false promises.
12. Then our sons will be like plants that quickly grow to full size. Our daughters will be like corner pillars, carved like those in a palace.
13. Our storehouses will be full, providing all kinds of food. Our sheep will multiply by the thousands and fill our pastures.
14. Our cattle will be weighted down with produce. No one will break through our walls, no one will be taken captive, and there will be no terrified cries in our city squares.
15. How blessed are the people who experience these things! How blessed are the people whose God is the Lord!

Sondag 20 September 2015.
WOORD VAN DIE DAG:
(Psalm 143:8)
Laat my U goedertierenheid in die môre hoor, want op U vertrou ek; maak my bekend die pad wat ek moet gaan, want ek hef my siel op tot U.

BOODSKAP VAN DIE DAG:
PSALM 144, Tweede gedeelte ...
Afrikaans - (Ou Afrikaanse Vertaling).
(Psalm 144:10-15)
11. Ruk my uit en red my uit die hand van vreemdes, wie se mond leuens spreek en wie se regterhand 'n regterhand van bedrog is;
12. Sodat ons seuns soos plante mag wees wat opgekweek is in hulle jeug, ons dogters soos hoekpilare wat uitgebeitel is, na die boustyl van 'n paleis;
13. Dat ons skure vol mag wees, wat allerhande soorte voorraad oplewer; ons kleinvee by duisende mag aanteel, by tienduisende vermeerder word op ons velde;
15. Welgeluksalig is die volk met wie dit so gaan; welgeluksalig is die volk wie se God die Here is!

A Psalm of David. I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your Name forever and ever (with grateful, affectionate praise).

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
PSALM 144.
English - (Amplified Bible Version).
Psalm 144:1-9)
1. Blessed be the Lord, my Rock and my keen and firm Strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight -
2. My Steadfast Love and my Fortress, my High Tower and my Deliverer, my Shield and He in Whom I trust and take refuge, Who subdues my people under me.
3. Lord, what is man that You take notice of him? Or (the) son of man that You take account of him?
4. Man is like vanity and a breath; his days are as a shadow that passes away.
5. Bow Your heavens, O Lord, and come down; touch the mountains and they shall smoke.
6. Cast forth lightning and scatter (my enemies); send out arrows and embarrass and frustrate them.
7. Stretch out Your hand from above; rescue me and deliver me out of great waters, from the hands of hostile aliens (tribes around us),
8. Whose mouths speak deceit, and whose right hands are right hands (raised in taking) fraudulent oaths.
9. I will sing a new song to You, O God; upon a harp, an instrument of ten strings, will I offer praises to You.

Maandag 14 September 2015.
WOORD VAN DIE DAG:
(Psalm 145:1)
'n Loflied van Dawid. Alef.

PSALM 144.
Afrikaans - (Ou Afrikaanse Vertaling).
(Psalm 144:1-9)
1. 'n Psalm van Dawid. Geloofd sy die Here, my rots, wat my hande leer om te veg, my vingers om oorlog te voer -
2. My Goedertierenheid en my Bergvesting, my Skans en my Redder, my Skild, en die Een by wie ek skuil, wat my volk aan my onderwerp.
3. O Here, wat is die mens dat U hom ken, die mensekind dat U op hom ag gee?

PSALM 139, Second section ...

Saturday 19 September 2015.
WORD OF THE DAY:
(Psalm 139:23)
Examine me and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
PSALM 139, Second section ...
1. English - (New English Translation).
(Psalm 139:13-24)
13. Certainly You made my mind and heart; You wove me together in my mother's womb.
14. I will give You thanks because Your deeds are awesome and amazing, You knew me thoroughly;
15. My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret and sewed together in the depth of the earth.
16. Your eyes saw me when I was inside the womb. All the days ordained for me were recorded in Your scroll before one of them came into existence.
17. How difficult it is for me to fathom Your thoughts about me, O God! How vast is the sum total!
18. If I tried to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. Even if I finished counting them, I would still have to contend with You.
19. If only You would kill the wicked, O God! Get away from me you violent men!
20. They rebel against You and act deceitfully; Your enemies lie.
21. O Lord, do I not hate those who hate You, and despise those who oppose You?
22. I absolutely hate them, they have become my enemies!
23. Examine me and probe my thoughts! Test me, and know my concerns!
24. See if there is any idolatrous tendency in me, and lead me in the reliable ancient path!

Saterdag 19 September 2015.
WOORD VAN DIE DAG:
(Psalm 139:23)
Deurgrond my O God, en ken my hart; toets my en ken my gedagtes.

BOODSKAP VAN DIE DAG:
PSALM 139, Tweede gedeelte ...
2. Afrikaans - (Ou Afrikaanse Vertaling)
(Psalm 139:13-24)
13. Want Ú het my niere gevorm, my in my moeder se skoot geweef.
14. Ek loof U, omdat ek so vreeslik wonderbaar is; wonderbaar is U werke! En my siel weet dit alte goed.
15. My gebeente was vir U nie verborge toe ek in die geheim gemaak is nie, kunstig geweef in die dieptes van die aarde.
16. U oë het my ongevormde klomp gesien; en in U boek is hulle almal opgeskrywe: dae dat alles bepaal was, toe nog geeneen van hulle daar was nie.
17. Hoe kosbaar is dan vir my U gedagtes, O God! Hoe geweldig is hulle volle som nie!
18. Wil ek hulle tel, hulle is meer as die sand; word ek wakker, dan is ek nog by U.
23. Deurgrond my, O God, en ken my hart; toets my en ken my gedagtes;
24. En kyk of daar by my 'n weg is van smart, en lei my op die ewige weg!

PSALM 139.

Friday 18 September 2015.
WORD OF THE DAY:
(Psalm 138:3)
In the day when I called, You answered me; and You strengthened me with strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) in my inner self.

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
PSALM 139.
1. English - (New English Translation).
(Psalm 139:1-12)
1. O Lord, You examine me and know me.
2. You know when I sit down and when I get up; even from far away You understand my motives.
3. You carefully observe me when I travel or when I lie down to rest; You are aware of everything I do.
4. Certainly my tongue does not frame a word without You, O Lord, being thoroughly aware of it.
5.  You have beset me and shut me in - behind and before, and You have laid Your hand upon me.
6. Your (infinite) knowledge is beyond my comprehension; it is high above me, I am unable to fathom it.
7. Where can I go to escape Your Spirit? Where can I flee to escape Your presence?
8. If I were to ascend to heaven, You would be there. If I were to sprawl out in Sheol, there You would be.
9. If I were to fly away on the wings of the dawn, and settle down on the other side of the sea,
10. Even there Your hand would guide me, Your right hand would grab hold of me.
11. If I were to say: "Certainly the darkness will cover me, and the light will turn to night all around me,"
12. Even the darkness is not too dark for You to see, and the night is as bright as day; darkness and light are the same to You.

Vrydag 18 September 2015.
WOORD VAN DIE DAG:
(Psalm 138:3)
Die dag toe ek geroep het, het U my verhoor, my moedig gemaak met krag in my siel.

BOODSKAP VAN DIE DAG:
PSALM 139.
2. Afrikaans - (Ou Afrikaanse Vertaling)
(Psalm 139:1-12)
1. Vir die musiekleier. 'n Psalm van Dawid. Here, U deurgrond en ken my.
2. U ken my sit en opstaan, U verstaan van ver my gedagtes.
3. U deurvors my gaan en my lê, en U is met al my weë goed bekend.
4. Want daar is nog geen woord op my tong nie - of U Here, U ken dit geheel en al.
5. U sluit my in van agter en van voor, en U lê U hand op my.
6. Om dit te begryp is te wonderbaar vir my, te hoog: ek kan daar nie by nie.
8. Klim ek op na die hemel, U is daar; en maak ek die doderyk my bed, kyk, U is daar!
9. Neem ek die vleuels van die dageraad, gaan ek by die uiteinde van die see woon,
10. Ook daar sou U hand my lei, en U regterhand my vashou.
11. En as ek sê: "Mag tog net die duisternis my oorval en die lig nag wees tot my beskutting.
