WORD OF THE DAY:

(Matthew 14:33)

Then those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying: "Truly, You are the Son of God." 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

THE FIRST MULTIPLICATION OF BREAD, FEEDING THE FIVE THOUSAND. 

(Matthew 14:13-21)

13. Now when Jesus heard this, He went away from there privately in a boat to an isolated place. But when the crowd heard about it, they followed Him on foot to the towns. 

14. As He got out He saw the large crowd, and He had compassion on them and healed their sick. 

15. When evening arrived, His disciples came to Him, saying: "This is an isolated place and the hour is already late. Send the crowds away so that they can go into the villages and buy food for themselves."  

16. But He replied: "They don't need to go. You give them something to eat."

17. They said to Him: "We have here only five loaves and two fish."

18. "Bring them here to Me," He replied. 

19. Then He instructed the crowds to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and two fish, and looking up to heaven He gave thanks, and broke the loaves. He gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds.  

20. They all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up the broken pieces left over, twelve baskets full. 

21. Not counting woman and children, there were about five thousand men who ate.

WOORD VAN DIE DAG:

(Matthéüs 24:33)

Toe kom die wat in die skuit was, en val voor Hom neer en sê: "Waarlik, U is die Seun van God."

BOODSKAP VAN DIE DAG:

DIE EERSTE VERMEERDERING VAN DIE BRODE, VOEDSEL VIR DIE VYF DUISEND. 

(Matthéüs 14:13-21)

13. En toe Jesus dit hoor, het Hy daarvandaan in 'n skuit vertrek, na 'n verlate plek alleen. En die skare het dit gehoor, en Hom van die stede af te voet gevolg. 

14. En toe Jesus uitgaan, het Hy 'n groot skare gesien en innig jammer vir hulle gevoel; en Hy het hulle siekes gesond gemaak. 

15. En toe dit aand geword het, kom Sy dissipels na Hom en sê: "Die plek is verlate, en dit is al oor die tyd; stuur die skare weg sodat hulle na die dorpe kan gaan, en vir hulle voedsel koop."

16. Maar Jesus sê vir hulle: "Hulle hoef nie weg te gaan nie; gee julle hulle iets om te eet."

17. Maar hulle antwoord Hom: "Ons het hier net vyf brode en twee visse."

18. En Hy sê: "Bring dit hier vir My."

19. Toe gee Hy die skare bevel om op die gras te gaan sit; en Hy neem die vyf brode en die twee visse, kyk op na die hemel en dank; en nadat Hy die brode gebreek het, gee Hy dit aan die dissipels, en die dissipels aan die skare. 

20. En almal het geët en versadig geword, en hulle het die oorskot van die brokstukke opgetel, twaalf mandjies vol.   

21. En dit was omtrent vyfduisend manne wat geëet het, buiten die vroue en kinders. 

(God willing and by His marvellous grace and mercy, I will share the Word with you as often as I possibly can.

As dit die wil van God is en deur Sy wonderbare genade en goedertierenheid, sal ek die Woord met u deel so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan.)
