In the path of righteousness there is life, but another path leads to death.  

MESSAGE OF THE DAY: 

PROVERBS 6, Fifth Section, - (Beware of adultery) ...

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version).

(Proverbs 6:20-27)

20. My son, keep your father's (God-given) commandment and forsake not the law of (God), your mother taught you. 

21. Bind them continually upon your heart and tie them about your neck. 

22. When you go, they (the words of your parents' God) shall lead you; when you sleep, they shall keep you; and when you waken, they shall talk with you. 

23. For the commandment is a lamp, and the whole teaching (of the law) is light, and reproofs of discipline, are the way of life,

24. To keep you from the flattery of the tongue of a loose woman. 

25. Lust not after her beauty in your heart, neither let her capture you with her eyelids. 

26. For on account of a harlot a man is brought to a piece of bread, and the adulteress stalks and snares (as with a hook) the precious life (of a man).

27. Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?

(Spreuke 6:20-27)

20. Bewaar my seun, die gebod van jou vader, en verwerp die onderwysing van jou moeder nie;

21. Bind dit gedurigdeur om jou hart, hang dit om jou hals;

22. Mag dit jou lei as jy wandel, oor jou waghou as jy slaap, en jou toespreek as jy wakker word. 

23. Want die gebod is 'n lamp, en die onderwysing 'n lig, en die teregwysinge van die tug, 'n weg tot die lewe, 

24. Om jou te bewaar vir 'n slegte vrou, vir die gevlei van 'n vreemde tong.  

25.  Begeer haar skoonheid nie in jou hart nie, en laat sy jou nie vang met haar ooglede nie;

26. Want vir 'n hoer verval 'n mens tot 'n stuk brood, en 'n ander se vrou maak jag op 'n kosbare lewe.  

27. Kan iemand vuur in sy skoot dra, sonder dat sy klere verbrand?

(God willing and by His marvellous grace and mercy, I will share some of the Proverbs with you, as often as I possibly can. /

As dit die wil van God is, en deur Sy wonderbare genade en barmhartigheid, sal ek sommige van die Spreuke met u deel, so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan.)
