WORD OF THE DAY: 

(Proverbs 13:7)

There is one who pretends to be rich and yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, and yet possesses great wealth. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY: 

PROVERBS 6, Sixth section, - (Beware of adultery, Second section).

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version).

(Proverbs 6:28-35)

28. Can one go upon hot coals and his feet not be burned?

29. So he who goes in to his neighbour's wife (he will be tortured with just retribution); he who touches her shall not be innocent or go unpunished.   

30. Men do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy himself when he is hungry;

31. But if he is found out, he must restore seven times (what he stole); he must give the whole substance of his house (if necessary - to meet his fine).

32. But whoever commits adultery with a woman, lacks heart and understanding (moral principle and prudence); he who does it, is destroying his own life. 

33. Wounds and disgrace will he get, and his reproach will not be wiped away.  

34. For jealousy makes (the wronged) man furious; therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance (upon the detected one).

35. He will not consider any ransom (offered to buy him off from demanding full punishment); neither will he be satisfied, though you offer him many gifts and bribes.

(Spreuke 6:28-35)

28. Of kan iemand op gloeiende kole loop, sonder dat sy voete brandwonde kry? 

29. So is dit met hom wat by die vrou van sy naaste ingaan; elkeen wat haar aanraak, sal nie ongestraf bly nie. 

30. 'n Dief word nie verag as hy steel om sy begeerte te bevredig nie, omdat hy honger het. 

31. En as hy uitgevind word, moet hy sewevoudig vergoeding gee; al die goed van sy huis moet hy gee. 

32. Hy wat owerspel pleeg, is sonder verstand; hy wat sy eie lewe wil verwoes, hy doen so iets. 

33. Slae en skande sal hy kry, en sy smaad sal nie uitgewis word nie;

34. Want jaloersheid is 'n toorngloed in 'n man, en op die dag van wraak verskoon hy nie;

35. Hy neem glad geen losprys in aanmerking nie, en hy willig nie in nie, al maak jy die omkoopgeskenk nog so groot.

As dit die wil van God is, en deur Sy wonderbare genade en barmhartigheid, sal ek sommige van die Spreuke met u deel, so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan.)
