(Luke 6:38)

"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

THE PROVERBS, Section 2, ...

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version.)

(Proverbs 1:10-20)

10. My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. 

11. If they say: "Come with us; let us lie in wait (to shed) blood, let us ambush the innocent without cause, (and show that his piety is in vain);

12. "Let us swallow them up alive as does Sheol (the place of the dead), and whole as those going down into the pit (of the dead);

13. "We shall find and take all kinds of precious goods (when our victims are put out of the way), we shall fill our houses with plunder;

14. "Throw in your lot with us, (they insist) and be a sworn brother and comrade; let us all have one purse in common -"

15. My son, do not walk in the way with them; restrain your foot from their path;  

16. For their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood. 

17. For in vain is the net spread in the sight of any bird!

18. But (when these men set a trap for others), they are lying in wait for their own blood; they set an ambush for their own lives. 

19. So are the ways of everyone who is greedy of gain; such (greed for plunder) takes away the lives of its possessors. 

20. WISDOM cries aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the markets;

Gee, en aan julle sal gegee word. 'n Goeie maat wat ingedruk en geskud en oorlopend is, sal hulle in jul skoot gee, want met dieselfde maat waarmee julle meet, sal weer vir julle gemeet word.

10. My seun, as die sondaars jou wil verlei; moet jy nie inwillig nie; 

11. As hulle sê: "Gaan saam met ons, laat ons loer op bloed, laat ons die onskuldige voorlê sonder oorsaak, 

12. "Laat ons hulle lewendig verslind soos die doderyk, en die gesondes soos die wat in die kuil neerdaal; 

13. "Allerhande kosbare goed sal ons vind, ons huise sal ons vol maak met buit;

14. "Jy sal jou lot onder ons werp, ons sal almal een beurs hê -"

15. My seun, gaan nie met hulle saam op die weg nie, hou jou voet terug van hulle pad;

16. Want hulle voete hardloop na die kwaad, en haas hulle om bloed te vergiet;

17. Want die net word tevergeefs uitgesprei voor die oë van allerhande voëls:

18. So loer hulle op hulle eie bloed, hulle lê hulleself voor. 

19. So gaan dit met almal wat onregverdige wins maak: dit ontneem sy besitter die lewe. 

20. Die WYSHEID roep hardop daar buite, sy verhef haar stem op die pleine.

As dit die wil van God Almagtig is, en deur Sy genade en barmhartigheid, sal dit vir my 'n vreugde wees om sommige van die SPREUKE met u te deel, so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan.)
