[Hebrews 7:11-12]

11. Now if perfection (a perfect fellowship between God and the worshiper) had been attainable by the Levitical priesthood - for under it the people were given the Law - why was it further necessary that there should arise another and different kind of Priest, one after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one apppointed after the order and rank of Aaron?

12. For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is of necessity an alteration of the law (concerning the priesthood) as well.

[Hebreërs 7:11-12]

11. As daar dan volkomenheid deur die Levitiese priesterskap was -- want met die oog daarop het die volk die wet ontvang -- waarom was dit nog nodig dat 'n ander Priester moes opstaan volgens die orde van Melgisédek, en dat hy dit nie volgens die orde van Aäron (priester) genoem word nie?

12. Want met verandering van die priesterskap kom daar noodsaaklik ook verandering van wet;

(As dit die wil van God is, en deur Sy genade sal ek môre verder met u deel).
