THE APOSTLE PAUL'S PRAYER FOR THE EPHESIANS: 

Part 1.

1. English - (NIV - Translation)

[Ephesians 3:14-18]

14. For this reason, I kneel before the Father,

15. From whom the whole family in heaven and on earth derives its Name. 

16. I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,

17. So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,

18. May have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

[Efésiërs 3:14-18]

14. Om hierdie rede buig ek my knieë voor die Vader van onse Here Jesus Christus,

15. Van wie elke geslag in die hemele en op die aarde Sy Naam ontvang,

16. Dat Hy aan julle mag gee na die rykdom van Sy heerlikheid om met krag versterk te word deur Sy Gees in die innerlike mens,

17. Sodat Christus deur die geloof in julle harte mag woon, julle wat in die liefde gewortel en gegrond is. 

18. En julle in staat kan wees om saam met al die heiliges ten volle te begryp wat die breedte en lengte en diepte en hoogte is -
