WORD OF THE DAY: 

[Psalm 90:2]

Even before the mountains came into existence, or You brought the world into being, You were the eternal God. 

 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:

PSALM 115.

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version.)

[Psalm 115:1-9]

1. Not to us, O Lord, not to us! But to Your Name bring honour and glory, for Your mercy and loving-kindness and for the sake of Your truth and faithfulness!

2. Why should the nations say: "Where is now their God?"

3. But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. 

4. The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. 

5. They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;  

6. They have ears, but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not; 

7. They have hands, but they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither can they make a sound with their throats. 

8. They who make idols, are like them; so are all who trust in, and lean on them. 

9. O Israel, trust and take refuge in the Lord! (Lean on, rely on, and be confident in Him!) He is their Help and their Shield.

Voordat die berge gebore was, en U die aarde en die wëreld voortgebring het, ja, van ewigheid tot ewigheid is U God.

PSALM 115.

2. Afrikaans - (Ou Afrikaanse Vertaling.)

[Psalm 115:1-9]

1. Nie aan ons, O Here, nie aan ons nie, maar aan U Naam gee eer, om U goedertierenheid, om U trou ontwil. 

2. Waarom sou die heidene sê: "Waar is dan hulle God?"

3. Terwyl ons God tog in die hemel is; Hy doen alles wat Hom behaag.  

4. Hulle afgode is silwer en goud, 'n werk van mensehande. 

5. Hulle het 'n mond, maar praat nie; hulle het oë, maar sien nie;

6. Ore het hulle, maar hoor nie; hulle het 'n neus, maar ruik nie; 

7. Hande, maar hulle tas nie; voete, maar hulle loop nie; hulle gee geen geluid deur hul keel nie. 

8. Die wat hulle maak, sal net soos hulle word - elkeen wat op hulle vertrou. 

9. Israel, vertrou op die Here: Hy is hulle Hulp en hulle Skild!
