SAUL'S CONVERSION. / SAULUS SE BEKERING.

Weekend 5 & 6 November 2016.
WORD OF THE DAY:
(Hebrews 4:14)
Therefore, since we have a great High Priest Who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
SAUL'S CONVERSION:
(Acts 9:1-7)
1. Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest and
2. Asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the 'Way', whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.
3. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
4. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him: "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?"
5. "Who are You Lord," Saul asked. "I Am Jesus Whom you are persecuting," He replied.
6. "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."
7. The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.

Naweek 5 & 6 November 2016.

3. En toe hy op sy reis naby Damaskus kom, omstraal hom skielik 'n lig van die hemel af;
5. En hy sê: "Wie is U Here?"

(God willing and by His marvelous grace and mercy, I will bring the Word to you as often as I possibly can. However, bearing in mind that I am publishing a second blog now named: "A PEARL FOR EACH DAY," on a daily basis, this blog will be published only once a week, mostly during weekends.

As dit die wil van God is en deur Sy wonderbare genade en barmhartigheid, sal ek die Woord met u deel so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan. Aangesien ek egter nou ook 'n tweede blog daagliks publiseer genaamd: "'N PÊREL VIR ELKE DAG," sal hierdie blog slegs een maal per week gepubliseer word, veral gedurende naweke.)

Many thanks for this beautiful prayer by Rivers of Flowing Water.

SAUL, GOD's CHOSEN INSTRUMENT. / SAULUS. GOD SE UITVERKORE WERKTUIG.

Weekend 12 & 13 November 2016.
WORD OF THE DAY:
(1 Corinthians 10:13b)
But God is faithful (to His Word and to His compassionate nature), and He (can be trusted) not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability, and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will always also provide the way out, that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
SAUL, GOD'S CHOSEN INSTRUMENT:
(Acts 9:8-19)
8. Then Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes, he could see nothing; so they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.
9. And he was unable to see for three days, and he neither ate nor drank anything.
10. Now there was in Damascus a disciple named Ananias. Tho Lord said to him in a vision: "Ananias!" And he answered: "Here I am, Lord!"
11. And the Lord said to him: "Get up and go to the street called Straight, and ask at the house of a man called Judas for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying (there).
12. "And he had seen in a vision a man named Ananias enter and lay his hands on him, so that he may regain his sight."
13. But Ananias answered: "Lord, I have heard many people tell about this man, especially how much evil and great suffering he has brought on Your saints at Jerusalem.
14. "Now he is here and he has authority from the high priests to put in chains all who call upon Your Name."
15. But the Lord said to him: "Go, for this man is a chosen instrument of Mine to bear My Name before the Gentiles and kings and the descendants of Israel;
16. "For I will make clear to him how much he will be afflicted and must endure and suffer for My Name's sake."
17. So Ananias left and went into the house. And he lay his hands on Saul and said: "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus Who appeared to you along the way by which you came here, Has sent me so that you may recover your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
18. And instantly something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he recovered his sight. Then he arose and was baptized,
19. And after he took some food, he was strengthened. For several days afterward he remained with the disciples at Damascus.

Naweek 12 & 13 November 2016.

PAULUS, GOD SE UITVERKORE WERKTUIG:
(Handelinge 9:8-19)
10. En daar was 'n dissipel in Damaskus met die naam van Ananías; en die Here het vir hom in 'n gesig gesê: "Ananías!" En hy antwoord: "Hier is ek, Here!"
11. Toe sê die Here vir hom: "Staan op en gaan na die straat wat genoem word Reguitstraat, en vra in die huis van Judas na 'n man met die naam van Saulus van Tarsus, want kyk, hy bid;
13. Maar Ananías antwoord: "Here, ek het van baie mense aangaande hierdie man gehoor, hoeveel kwaad hy U heiliges in Jerusalem aangedoen het;
15. Maar die Here sê vir hom: "Gaan, want hy is vir My 'n uitverkore werktuig om My Naam te dra voor nasies en konings, en die kinders van Israel.
16. "Want Ek sal hom toon hoeveel hy vir My Naam moet ly."

SAUL BEING PERSECUTED. / SAULUS WORD VERVOLG.

Weekend 19 & 20 November 2016.
WORD OF THE DAY:
(Matthew 6:33)
"But first seek His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
SAUL BEING PERSECUTED:
(Acts 9:20-27)
20. At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
21. All those who heard him were astonished and asked: "Isn't he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this Name?"
22. Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffleled the Jews living in Damascus, by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.
23. After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him,
24. But Saul learned of their plan. Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him.
25. But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket, through an opening in the wall
26. When he came to Jerusalem he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple.
27. But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his yourney had seen the Lord, and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the Name of Jesus.

Naweek 19 & 20 November.

24. En hulle plan het aan Saulus bekend geword. En hulle het die poorte dag en nag bewaak, dat hulle hom kon ombring;
