HOW TO OVERCOME REJECTION / HOE OM VERWERPING TE OORKOM.

Tuesday 28 January 2014.
WORD OF THE DAY:
[Psalm 22:24]
For He Has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; He Has not hidden His face from him but Has listened to his cry for help.

MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
HOW TO OVERCOME REJECTION:
Part 2.
(Please read yesterday's "Blog," in order to have full comprehension of what is being discussed today)

*1. Children who were rejected by one or both parents: -
Pleasant memories are very important to everybody and needs to be treasured. On the other hand, unpleasant memories could be painful and traumatic. Needless to say, unpleasant memories could sometimes be so painful that they can affect a person's entire life span.
As a result of that many children wrestle with many difficulties right through their school career, because they never received any positive love and support and they therefore do not trust their own abilities and capabilities. Maybe they were always reminded of their own shortcomings and inabilities, and that they won't be able to make a success of anything they do in life.
Such a child therefore goes burdened under the yoke of rejection - in such a way, that even when they are adults they do not trust their own capabilities and competence, because their self-image is handicapped to a great extent.
In case such a person is married, it is so very important for his or her spouse to offer love, understanding, assistance and upliftment.
Fortunately Jesus is always there, ready and waiting to heal the broken-hearted: Our Shepherd, our Redeemer, our Physician, our Father, our Consolation, our Light.
It is so wonderful that the prophet Isaiah was inspired by the Spirit to address this aspect in Isaiah 61:1-3.
(God willing we will study this portion of Scripture tomorrow.)

Dinsdag 28 Januarie 2014.
WOORD VAN DIE DAG:
[Psalm 22:25]
