WORD OF THE DAY:

(Proverbs12:1)

The one who loves discipline loves knowledge, but the one who hates reproof is stupid. 

MESSAGE OF THE DAY: 

PROVERBS 6, First section, (Dangerous promises).

1. English - (Amplified Bible Version).

(Proverbs 6:1-5)

1. My son, if you have become security for your neighbour, if you have given your pledge for a stranger or another,

2. You are snared by the words of your lips, you are caught by the speech of your mouth. 

3. Do this now (at once and earnestly), my son, and deliver yourself when you have put yourself into the power of your neighbour; go bestir and humble yourself, beg your neighbour (to pay his debt, and thereby release you).

4. Give not (unnecessary) sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids;  

5. Deliver yourself, as a roe or gazelle from the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

Een wat die tug liefhet, het kennis lief; maar wie die teregwysing haat, is dom.

1. My seun, as jy vir jou naaste borg gestaan het, vir 'n vreemde jou handslag gegee het, 

2. Verstrik is in die woorde van jou mond, gevang is deur die woorde van jou mond, 

3. Doen dan dit my seun, om jouself te red - want jy het in die hand van jou naaste geraak - gaan, werp jou neer, en bestorm jou naaste, 

4. Gun jou oë geen slaap, en jou ooglede geen sluimering nie;

5. Red jou soos 'n gemsbok uit die hand, en 'n voël uit die hand van 'n voëlvanger. 

(God willing and by His marvellous grace and mercy, I will share some of the Proverbs with you, as often as I possibly can. /

As dit die wil van God is, en deur Sy wonderbare genade en barmhartigheid, sal ek sommige van die Spreuke met u deel, so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan.)
