SERMON ON THE MOUNT: Do not worry. / BERGPREDIKASIE: Moenie Bekommerd Wees nie.

Wednesday 27 January 2016.
(Psalm 121:1,2)
1. I will lift up my eyes to the hills - from whence comes my help?
2. My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

(Matthew 6:25-34)
25. "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink, nor about your body about what you will put on. Isn't there more to life than food, and more to the body than clothing?
26. "Look at the birds in the sky: they do not sow or reap, or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you more valuable than they are?
27. "Which of you by worrying can add even one hour to his life?
28. "So why do you worry about clothing? Think about how the flowers of the field grow; they do not work or spin.
29. "And yet I say to you: not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these!
30. "Now if this is how God clothes the wild grass which is here today, and tomorrow is tossed into the fire to heat the oven, won't He clothe you even more, you people of little faith?
31. "Therefore do not worry saying: 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear?'
32. "For after all these things the gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33. "But seek first the kingdom of God and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34. "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Today has enough trouble of its own."

(Psalm 121:1,2)
1. Ek slaan my oë op na die berge, waar sal my hulp vandaan kom?
2. My hulp is van die Here, wat hemel en aarde gemaak het.

(Matthéüs 6:25-34)
28. "En wat kwel julle jul oor klere? Let op die lelies van die veld, hoe hulle groei; hulle arbei nie en hulle spin nie;
31. "Daarom moet julle jul nie kwel en sê: 'Wat sal ons eet,' of 'wat sal ons drink,' of 'wat sal ons aantrek nie?'

(God willing and by His marvellous grace and mercy, I will share the Word with you as often as I possibly can. /
As dit die wil van God is en deur Sy wonderbare genade en barmhartigheid, sal ek die Woord met u deel so dikwels as wat ek moontlik kan.)
